We've thought a lot about belt bags and fanny packs over the past couple years as the arms-free style made a huge comeback. But in case you thought handbags reached an all-time cumbersome low, feast your eyes on Nike's reportedly new shoe style: fanny pack slides.
According to Hypebeast, the classic Benassi slide has been married with a colorful Nike pouch for this upcoming hybrid creation, which is set "to hit select Nike retailers soon" the site reports. As the initial leaked images show, the slides come in a range of contrasting, bright colors. There are neon green and turquoise, black with a hot pink–and-purple pouch, and if you're looking for something more subdued—reminder: There's a fanny pack on your foot—an all-black option.
We'll understand if some see the design as a bit gimmicky, a little but what the heck do you actually put in there?, but we're also fully convinced that we need to be first in line when (and if) these unique summer shoes finally drop.
